A Mindful Support Group for Moms of Children and Adults with Special Needs.

Horses Show Us How We Feel
There is nothing that can replicate the experience of working with a horse. Horses are non-judgmental and forgiving animals who provide feedback about our moods through their own body language. Spending this guided time with horses can help participants recognize and manage feelings of fear, self-doubt, and anxiety similar to what we may feel at home as we navigate the challenges of raising a child with special needs.

Each Moms ‘n Mares group begins in our Mindfulness Room where we connect and practice techniques to regulate moods and promote feelings of calm. Then, we continue our work in the barn where we apply these skills in novel situations with our horses. Afterwards, we’ll process our feelings and discuss ways to use our new skills to help to bring a sense of calm, confidence, and inner peace. Light refreshments will be served.

Take the time to nurture yourself so you can feel rejuvenated and grounded in the moment, while also learning skills to apply in challenging situations at home.

Come join us to share, support, and educate each other.
